I want to introduce myself and tell a little bit about my background. My name is Franziska Nguyen but everyone just calls me Frances. I was born and raised in Bamberg, Germany. In 2013 I came to the United States and have been ever since in Arizona, in 2017 I became U.S. citizen. I graduated college in 2020 with an associates degree in applied science.
I love the outdoors and that's where I met my husband. We have two boys, they are 3 and 4 years old now. During my first pregnancy I started gardening and really enjoyed growing our own food. After my second pregnancy, we decided that I become a stay at home mom, but I wanted to start another hobby that I can do from home. My mom, who lives in Germany, always told me about all the nice things that she has sewn. So I decided that I wanted to learn sewing.
We have a little homestead with goats, chickens, and dogs. Our son has very sensitive skin and had eczema. We tried everything, from over the counter to prescription lotions, but nothing worked, until we started using goat's milk soap. All skin problems disappeared, so we all have been using goat's milk soaps.
Fast forward to 2023, I decided that I wanted to work again and my husband has been very supportive to all of my decisions. Without him, I wouldn't be where I'm now. I told my husband about my business idea of selling goat's milk soaps and sewn accessories and he gave me the go ahead. New to this idea of becoming a business owner, I did a lot of research about how to get this all started. Even though, I run the business, I always refer to "our", because I see it as a small family business and without the support of my husband I wouldn't have made it this far.
