Meet Frances — The Heart Behind Frances Farm & Craft
Hello and welcome! My name is Franziska Nguyen, but everyone calls me Frances. I was born and raised in Bamberg, Germany, and in 2013 I made a big move to the United States. Since then, I’ve made my home in beautiful Arizona. In 2017, I proudly became a U.S. citizen, and a few years later, in 2020, I graduated college with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science.
From Gardening to Sewing
I’ve always loved the outdoors — that’s actually how I met my husband! We now have two wonderful boys, ages 5 and 4. During my first pregnancy, I started gardening and quickly fell in love with growing our own food.
After our second son was born, I decided to become a stay-at-home mom, but I also wanted to find a creative hobby I could do from home. My mom, who still lives in Germany, often shared stories about the beautiful things she sewed, and that inspired me to learn sewing myself.
Life on Our Little Homestead
We live on a small homestead with goats, chickens, and dogs. When our oldest son was a baby, he struggled with eczema. We tried everything — from store-bought creams to prescriptions — but nothing seemed to help. Then we discovered goat milk soap, and everything changed. His skin cleared up, and since then, our whole family has used goat milk products daily.
How Frances Farm & Craft Began
Fast forward to 2023 — I decided it was time to work again. With my husband’s encouragement, I started Frances Farm & Craft, combining my love for handmade sewing and natural goat milk products.
Even though I run the business, I always say “we,” because it’s truly a family effort. My husband’s support has meant everything to me, and together we’re building something special — a small family business filled with heart and purpose.
Thank You for Being Here
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting our small business. Every order helps our little farm grow and keeps our dream alive.
